Thompson raisin variety

Raisins- well known as ‘’kishmish’’ in Сentral Asia, are considered to be dried berries of grapes. There is a large variety of raisins, which depends on the type of grape and also method of drying.

 

Let’s talk about Thomson raisins. This type of raisin was developed over 5,000 years ago. Thomson blue raisins are a sun dried method under the radiant sun with temperature that reaches up to 40-60 degrees, which corresponds to the unique properties of the climate conditions of fruitful Uzbekistan. In general, Sultana raisins, as well as Thompson origin is from  Thompson white, seedless grape variety, which is grown in our country in the Ishtikhan and Urgut districts of Samarkand region. Thompson raisins dry on average for 15-30 days, where under the scorching sun the color of the berries changes from light green to very dark brown.

The features of raisins:
